Product Overview:
NAVRGB is a navigation video interface device that adds
video capabilities to vehicles with factory installed
navigation systems, or full color information screens.
NAVRGB does not replace or add a factory navigation system,
it only creates additional video inputs for the navigation
system or color screen.
NAVRGB video interface is 100% PLUG & PLAY - no wire cutting required.
NavTool PLUG & PLAY installation harnesses are made using OEM connectors.
NAVRGB video interfaces come with two composite video inputs:
video 1 is dedicated for any video source,
video 2 is dedicated for back-up camera. When the vehicle
is in reverse, the screen will automatically switch to
reverse camera (back-up camera overrides both DVD and navigation screen).
NAVRGB is an externally wired Plug & Play video interface
that is installed in-line of the navigation computer and navigation screen.
It works simply by interrupting the video signal from
the navigation computer when it is activated,
or when 12V are applied on the reverse camera line.
When this occurs the navigation system video image
will be replaced by the video source that is connected to the NavTool interface.
NAVRGB is a video-only input interface module and does not
have any audio inputs.
If the vehicle does not have a factory-installed AUX audio jack,
then an audio FM modulator/transmitter or
an auxiliary audio input interface adapter is needed
to connect audio signals from an external
AV source to the factory audio system.
NavTool is video-in-motion enabled, so the video image will
stay on the screen even with the car in motion,
however we do not recommend doing this.
The factory navigation computer cannot play DVD movies,
a video source is needed to display video on the factory
navigation screen.
Examples of video sources:
DVD player, Game Console, Digital Media Player,
iPod Video (NAVRGB does not support iPod Controls or iPod audio).

Vehicle Specific Installation Information:


THIS INTERFACE SHOULD BE CONNECTED AT THE NAVIGATION
COMPUTER AND NOT BEHIND THE SCREEN.
Simply unplug connector from back of the navigation
computer, plug in one end of supplied Plug & Play connector
into navigation computer.
Plug in OEM connector into other end of supplied Plug & Play harness,
then connect 12V accessory power, ground, and backup camera
wire (if installing aftermarket back-up camera).
The installation is really that simple.
Since the unit is plug and play and only requires extra
wiring for 12V accessory and ground, it will not void vehicles factory warranty in most cases.
